Do you love to continually redecorate, change with the seasons etc. Are you someone who loves accessories?  Many people have in which "refined" up to date, concept of beauty in addition to also want their living spaces to reflect in which.

Believe the item or not, there are also people who are equally determined not to have spaces in which are perfect in addition to also brand new. They like more pared down, earthy, calm environments in which have "real" objects in them.  Some refer to in which look as zen.

As in all things there is usually usually a middle road in which people like to take.  I am certainly not, nor never have been, attracted to glamorous spaces, with silk, sparkle in addition to also too much excess.  Comfortable, calm in addition to also clean lined is usually more my vibe.

I have always found the Japanese world view/aesthetic of wabi sabi in which acknowledges three simple realities: nothing lasts, nothing is usually finished, in addition to also nothing is usually perfect, very freeing. Such beliefs allow you to accept the dents, scratches, wrinkles, splits, cracks in addition to also scuffs as part of the history of a piece in which makes the item unique in addition to also authentic.  If you want to know more about wabi sabi check out in which post.

Natural materials predominate in wabi sabi homes: paper, aged wood, linens, cottons, etc. Look for anything in which celebrates the  marks of time, weather, in addition to also  the effects of loving use. In additional words look for objects with history on their surfaces.
I am definitely attracted to the tenets  of wabi sabi, in addition to also if you went around my home you might see subtle evidence of my interest from the marks of time, wood, in addition to also natural materials like cotton in addition to also linen.
although you might also see pristine, light, glass  in addition to also leather.  For me combining brand new in addition to also old  is usually also a statement in which  probably brings more attention to the less than perfect objects in addition to also what they mean.

I find spaces in which have obviously combined the up to date with the old in addition to also authentic very interesting, in addition to also I think about them as approaching wabi sabi rather than fully embracing the item.
